  5. ¹This  story  is  true.  The names were
  6. not  changed.  It was three o´clock in
  7. the  morning and I sat in front of the
  8. TV  with  my  best  friend Marian.  We
  9. were  watching  " The Bodyguard " with
  10. Kevin  Kostner  and  Whitney  Houston.
  11. The  end  of  the  film  was  near and
  12. Marian wanted a copy of it, too, so we
  13. had  to  spool the video cassette back
  14. and  restart  the  film.   Because  we
  15. enjoyed  it not enough to see it again
  16. we decided to go out while duplicating
  17. the movie.  It was a luck for me going
  18. out   of  cigarettes  and  having  the
  19. pressure  to  buy  some  at  the  next
  20. corner.
  21.  
  22. The  air in my room was very stinky so
  23. we   enjoy   the   fresh   and   clear
  24. midsummernight´s  air  on the streets.
  25. I  first went to the cigarette machine
  26. where  I  bought  some Marlboro Lights
  27. and  lit  my first one.  But we had no
  28. idea  what  the  hell we should do for
  29. nearly   two  hours.   So  we  started
  30. wandering  around the blocks.  After a
  31. while  we  came to a marvelous lighted
  32. old paper container and I had the idea
  33. to  look into it for some hot stuff to
  34. read.   I  have to confess that it was
  35. not the first time and often I found a
  36. Mickey  Mouse  or a Playboy.  But this
  37. night  I  had  no luck how long I ever
  38. searched.   There  was  nothing in the
  39. container  but  newspapers  or packing
  40. paper.

  42. then  I looked around and found Marian
  43. stuck  to  the  foot-path and having a
  44. nice  chat  with  it.   That  made  me
  45. curious  about  what  he  did.  When I
  46. came  nearer  I noticed him stroking a
  47. cat.   A  nice pet I thought and began
  48. stroking  it,  too.   It  was just fun
  49. stroking  a  cat at half past three in
  50. the morning on an empty street.
  51.  
  52. Suddenly  the  pussy-cat  began to mew
  53. and  move around us.  I know it sounds
  54. very funny but that cat reminded me of
  55. Lassy.  So it was clear to me this cat
  56. wanted  something  of  us.   I said to
  57. Marian :  " Hey guy, let us follow the
  58. cat  !  ".  For want of something else
  59. to do we decicded to go after the cat.
  60.  
  61. Now   imagine  two  guys  following  a
  62. little  cat  through  the  streets  of
  63. Ludwigsburg  at half past three in the
  64. morning.   We played this game half an
  65. hour  until  we came to the Hirschberg
  66. inn.  There the cat went totally crazy
  67. jumped  around  and ran away.  So what
  68. was that ?
  69.  
  70. After a while we went home and laughed
  71. the whole way.
  72. But  now listen !  Two days after this
  73. event  I  read  the  newspaper.  There
  74. stood  that the night after our walk a
  75. car  crashed  against  the wall at the
  76. same  place  the  cat  went  mad.  All
  77. three  passengers  were  killed.   You
  78. have to think about it, dont´t you ?
